Many states are suing 23andMe, a company that tests DNA. They want to stop the company from selling people's DNA information without their permission. This is happening because another company wants to buy 23andMe, which is having money problems. The states say that personal information like DNA and health details should not be sold unless each person agrees. 23andMe helps people learn about their family history using their spit. But the company has not been making enough money. Now, a different company wants to buy them, and they say they will keep people's information private. Someone will also check if the sale is good for customers.
