Officials in Europe are trying to stop a big 50% tax on goods from Europe. The U.S. President is not happy because Europe sells more things to the U.S. than it buys. But the EU says that if you count online services, the U.S. actually sells more. To change this, the EU could buy more gas from the U.S., spend more money on defense with U.S. companies, or make the tax on foreign cars lower. But it has been hard to fix problems with European food rules and their taxes. Experts think that if the 50% tax happens, the economy of the eurozone countries could get 1% smaller next year, and businesses might put 6% less money into new things.
