A company stopped selling old jewels because India said no.
Old stones were found with old things from a Buddha in India in 1898.
India's government told Sotheby's Hong Kong to stop selling the statue. They said the sale was against India's rules and international rules.
The letter said the Buddhist things are important for India. They asked Sotheby's to send the things back to India and say sorry.
