Trade rules keep changing, and this makes companies worried. Some big shops in the U.S. have already made prices higher, or said they will soon.

Donald Trump put new taxes on things coming into America from other countries. China did the same. Some taxes are now lower, but many are still there for businesses.

Companies that buy things from other countries have to pay extra money (tariffs). So, things cost more, and people pay more for them. Some say tariffs will help our country make more things here. But many things we buy come from all over the world. Experts say tariffs will make many things cost more, like food and car repairs.

Some shops are raising prices because of trade problems. Here are some big shops that have said prices will go up:

Walmart is now on the list. On Thursday, the big shop said prices will go up. This is because things from other countries cost more.

Walmart buys many things from the U.S., but some things cost more now. Prices at Walmart went up a little in April and more this month. The prices may go up a lot in June and July when people buy things for school.

John, who works with money at the company, said that some important things will cost more. For example, bananas from Costa Rica are now 54 cents per pound, but they were 50 cents. Also, car seats from China cost $350 at Walmart, but they may cost $100 more soon.

"We always try to have low prices. But we can only do so much," Rainey said.

Mattel, who makes Barbie and Hot Wheels, said they will need to raise prices if they must because of tariffs.

The toy company makes some toys in China. They said prices might go up on May 5. The U.S. and China made a deal for 90 days, but taxes are still high.

Mattel said they will make about 500 toys in other countries instead of China this year. Last year, they did this for about 280 toys. For some popular toys, they will use factories in more than one country.

In May, Microsoft said that Xbox prices are going up. For example, the Xbox Series S now costs $379.99 in the U.S. It used to cost $299.99. The Xbox Series X will cost $599.99. It used to cost $499.99.

Microsoft said the changes are hard. They said this in May. They talked about costs going up.

Microsoft said the price of Xbox will change in Europe, the U.K., and Australia. Prices in other countries may change too. Some new games from Microsoft will cost more this year, maybe $80.

Last month, Temu and Shein said prices will go up. They said this is because of changes in world trade.

In April, some things got more expensive because of a rule about goods from China. This rule changed in May. Now, goods from China cost a bit less, but they still have extra fees.

Before this help, Temu seemed to stop sending things from China. They started using things they already had in America. The shop is owned by a Chinese company. It still shows many items from "local" places that say there are "no extra import costs" for buyers in America. Shein, which is in Singapore, now says that the price you see includes all taxes, so you will not pay more when it comes.

The company Stanley Black & Decker said prices went up in April. They will go up again in July, August, or September because of new taxes.

Donald Allan, Jr. said last month that they are changing their supply plans to help their business and customers with tariffs.

The company Procter & Gamble makes things like toothpaste and toilet paper. They say prices may go up for shoppers soon.
