When President Trump talks about deals, it is hard to understand the taxes on goods.

Trump says the US does not need to sign deals. He wants good deals for everyone. He might put taxes on his own.

Chad Bown wrote in an email, "It is difficult for me to understand."

Many people are worried about the future.

Trump wants to keep some taxes on things from other countries.

Trump said taxes are good for the country.

The U.S. government got more money from taxes on things from other countries this year.

Trump wants to pay back a lot of money the country owes and make taxes lower. He wants to get money by taxing things from other countries. He needs to get $2 trillion each year. This must not make the country's economy bad. If the economy is bad, the country gets less tax money. It is very hard to do this.

Many countries want to talk about trade with the USA. They want to find things they can agree on.

But leaders from other countries don't know what Trump wants. They don't know how to make a good deal.

Canada's leader talked to Mr. Trump. He said the trade deal should be better. This is to stop taxes like the ones on fentanyl. Canada thought those taxes were not right.

Carney said, "Some things about it must change."

These taxes make it hard for China and the US to talk.

The US and China will talk in Switzerland this weekend. They want to be friends and talk about important things.

China makes many things. The world buys them. This is bad for other countries' jobs. The U.S. wants to fix this.

China is a very big part of this trade puzzle.

China said the US should stop bad words and taxes to start talks.

Lin said on Tuesday: If the U.S. wants to talk with China, it must stop threats. They should talk like friends, with respect and help for both.

On Wednesday, someone asked Trump if he would make China's products cheaper. He said, "No."

The president said China was wrong about who wanted to talk.

Does Congress need to say yes?

That is not always the case.

Trump put taxes on things from other countries. He used a special rule. Some people did not like it and went to court.

Before, presidents could only make small deals about trade.

Trump wants to talk about rules and taxes. He wants other countries to change their rules if the U.S. lowers its new taxes. Other countries might not like the money the U.S. gives to its companies.

The House and Senate must say yes to finish the deal.

Is it a good deal if Trump agrees?

Trump wants to make deals in his country. He wants to put taxes on things from other countries. This made the market go down. So, he stopped some taxes for 90 days. He made the taxes lower while people talk.

Maybe Trump will stop the new taxes if other countries give a little.

Someone said Trump asks for a lot first, then changes his mind later. So we will see what he does. But now, other countries want a normal talk, but Trump says no.
