President Trump will meet acting Venezuelan President Delcy Rodríguez in New York next week.
The White House announced the meeting on Friday.
Trump will be in the city for the United Nations General Assembly.
Mike Waltz is the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
He called the meeting a "pull-aside."
He said this is more casual than a formal sit-down.
Waltz spoke to reporters on a Friday call.
Waltz also said Trump will meet UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham.
Trump will meet Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi too.
Trump will also meet leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
He has other meetings planned with world leaders during the trip.
The meetings will happen while Trump attends the General Assembly next week.
