Russian President Vladimir Putin met U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner at the Kremlin on Saturday.
The talks aimed to restart a stalled effort to end the Russia-Ukraine war.
Both sides agreed to pause strikes on each other’s capitals while the talks took place.
The U.S. envoys will visit Kyiv on Sunday for the first time in the peace process, Ukrainian officials said.
At the meeting, Putin asked the envoys to pass on his warm wishes to U.S. President Donald Trump.
He described the situation in Ukraine as “not simple.”
Putin ordered no strikes against Kyiv for three days starting at midnight, said spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
Zelenskyy said Ukraine was ready to halt strikes on Moscow until Monday.
He said Russia’s overnight strikes on Kyiv airports were a reaction to the planned U.S. visit.
Russian attacks killed five people at an industrial facility in the Dnipropetrovsk region, said local official Oleksandr Hanzha.
A separate attack wounded a 62-year-old man in the Nikopol district.
Russia launched ballistic missiles and 167 attack drones overnight, Ukraine’s air force said.
Ukrainian attacks wounded three people in Russia’s Belgorod region, local officials said.
