Rescue teams look for people.
They use search dogs.
They work near the Nepal-China border.
They look through mud, rocks, and debris.
Many people are missing after flash floods.
Nepal's disaster agency says 1,003 people are dead.
It says 3,916 people are missing.
This includes 583 foreign people.
China says 16 people are dead.
It says 546 people are missing.
This includes 261 foreign people.
The big disaster happened on Aug. 26.
It is hard for rescuers to work.
Landslides and broken roads cut off far places.
Rescuers want to reach many workers.
These workers are inside tunnels at hydropower projects in Nepal.
About 900 workers are missing from 12 projects.
About 500 workers are in tunnels, local authorities say.
In Kathmandu, police bury many bodies in trenches.
The trenches are next to a forest.
Authorities use temporary graves.
They do this until they can identify the bodies.
They keep DNA samples.
They take photos of faces.
They give each body a number.
At least 11,814 people are safe now, Nepalese authorities say.
The disaster started with a glacial collapse.
Rock, ice, and meltwater went into valleys.
This made strong floods.
Scientists say the rockfall was like a 5.2 earthquake.
Nepal's Prime Minister Balendra Shah says the disaster shows a problem.
The problem is in the Himalayan region.
Risks are growing with climate change.
He says it is time to tell the world about this.
