An Air India plane crashed in Ahmedabad, in a part of the city where people live. 241 people on the plane died, and at least five students from a nearby college also died. This was one of India's worst plane accidents in many years. Only one person, Vishwashkumar Ramesh, survived because he was thrown out of the plane before it exploded. The plane was a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and it was the first time this kind of plane had crashed. Air officials in India said the plane sent an emergency message, but then they could not talk to it anymore. Important leaders like Narendra Modi, Keir Starmer, and King Charles III said they were very sad about what happened. After the crash, the value of Boeing shares went down a lot.
