Egyptian archaeologists have found three tombs from the New Kingdom period (1550–1070 B.C.) in Luxor. These tombs have decorations that tell us about the people buried inside. Important officials were buried there, including a man named Baki, who managed the grain storage, and another person called "S," who had various jobs like overseeing the Temple of Amun and working as a writer. The third tomb belonged to Amum-em-Ipet, who worked for the Amun estate. Even though his tomb was mostly damaged, some drawings of people carrying funeral items and a feast were discovered. The ministry shared pictures of the old objects and statues found in the tombs. This discovery happened before the Grand Egyptian Museum fully opens this summer. This museum will show over 100,000 items from Egypt's rich ancient past. Sherif Fathi, the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, said that this find is a very important scientific and archaeological success, which will probably help cultural tourism.
