A judge declared a mistrial on Friday.
It was in the murder trial of Lindsay Clancy.
The jurors could not agree on a decision.
The case got a lot of attention in the country.
It was about mental health after childbirth.
Clancy is 36 years old.
She was a nurse who helped with births.
She said she killed her three children in 2023.
Her lawyer said she had postpartum psychosis.
That is a rare mental illness.
Prosecutors said she knew what she did.
She strangled the children.
They were 5, 3, and 8 months old.
The mistrial came after seven days of talks.
Clancy's lawyer blamed one juror.
He said the juror did not follow the judge's rules.
The prosecutor said no quick choice about a new trial.
He said public opinion would not matter.
Clancy still faces murder charges.
She will likely stay at a psychiatric hospital.
Her ex-husband is Patrick Clancy.
He said he forgives her.
He believes her actions came from mental illness.
His lawyer said another trial is "extraordinarily painful."
