Donald Trump said he will make taxes on steel from other countries higher, to help steel workers in Pennsylvania.

Later, he wrote on Truth Social. He said the tax on aluminum will be 50%. He also said these taxes will start on Wednesday.

Trump spoke at a steel factory near Pittsburgh. He said a company from Japan will put money into the American steel company. He will give more information later.

Trump is in Washington. He said he must agree to the deal.

He said, "I need to say 'yes' to the last paper with Nippon. We haven't seen it. But they said they will give a lot of money, and it is a big plan.

Trump first said Japan could not buy U.S. Steel. But last week, he changed his mind. Now, Japan will own some of U.S. Steel.
