Since January, judges have made 40 orders about the whole country. This was said in court by D. John Sauer. He spoke for over two hours.

The government wants the court to quickly decide about some problems, like who can become a citizen when they are born here. These problems are about people coming to live in this country.

We can start this case fast, and it may work in the whole country.

But a judge asked Sauer about this. Sauer said the old government might not like the lawsuit. They might try to make it take longer.

It is not common for the Supreme Court to talk about quick appeals. They usually talk about the main problem.

But the government did not ask the court about the big question now. If the court agrees with the government, we don't know how long the rules about citizenship for children born in the US will be different in different places.
