The US government has stopped making new visa appointments for students from other countries for a short time. This is because they want to check their social media more carefully. This change doesn't affect students who already had an appointment. The government said that embassies should not make more student visa appointments until they know how to check social media better. This follows rules made by the previous government about international students. The current government is still checking students' social media. If students have to wait longer for visas, it could cause problems for their studies. Also, if fewer students come to study, universities might have less money.
