Kristi Noem said police are looking at a message from James Comey. Some people think it talks about hurting President Trump.

Comey put a photo of shells on Instagram. He said the shells looked like the numbers "86 47". He said he found them when he walked on the beach.

Some people who worked for Trump said Comey wanted Trump to be killed. Noem said the police would look into this.

Merriam-Webster says "86" can mean "throw out" or "refuse service." They say it can also mean "kill," but this meaning is new and not common.

The message is gone now. Comey then wrote, "I put a photo of shells from the beach. I thought it was a message about politics. I did not know some people think those numbers mean fighting."

Comey wrote something online. Some people did not like it. Donald Trump Jr. said Comey wanted his father to die.

Kash Patel from the FBI said he knew about the message. He is talking to the Secret Service about it.

James Blair works at the White House. He said this job is hard because Trump is in the Middle East now.

Blair said on X that Jim Comey wants bad people to hurt the President when he is in the Middle East.

Comey was the boss of the FBI from 2013 to 2017. Trump fired him when he was president. The FBI was looking at Trump and Russia at that time. Comey wrote a popular book about his work.
