President Donald Trump has chosen Dr. Casey Means to be the country's main health doctor, called the surgeon general.

Trump wrote online on Wednesday that Means has good ideas for "Make America Healthy Again." He said she will work to stop long-term sickness and make people in America healthier and happier.

Trump said, "Her school success and her work are very good. Dr. Casey Means could be one of the best doctors in American history."

Because of this, Trump decided not to choose Janette Nesheiwat for the job. She used to talk about health on Fox News. This is at least the second person Trump chose for a health job who will not be approved by the Senate. Nesheiwat was going to speak to the Senate Health Committee on Thursday to see if she was suitable for the job.

Means and her brother, Calley Means, were important helpers for Kennedy when he tried to become president in 2024. Many people thought he would not win. They also helped him say he supported Trump last summer. Means and her brother met with some of Trump's biggest supporters. People like Tucker Carlson and Joe Rogan said good things about them. Now, Calley Means works for the White House. He is often on TV talking about things like giving less food help to people, taking fluoride out of water, and other things the MAHA group wants.

Casey Means has no experience in government. She stopped her training to become a surgeon because she did not believe in traditional medicine anymore.
