British Prime Minister Andy Burnham has a big day on Tuesday.

He meets U.S. President Donald Trump for the first time.

He also speaks to the United Nations General Assembly.

Burnham became leader very fast.

He went from mayor of Manchester to leader of a G7 country in just weeks.

Burnham will ask Trump to give more U.S. help to Ukraine.

He also hopes Trump will not criticize Britain.

Britain has banned trade with Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

Burnham wants to show Britain can help with big problems.

These problems include the Middle East conflict and the fast growth of artificial intelligence.

He also wants to fix Britain's ties with European neighbors.

These ties were bad for ten years because of Brexit.

On his flight to New York, Burnham said he approved limited military help for Saudi Arabia.

A Royal Air Force plane will refuel Saudi jets.

These jets take "defensive" action against Houthi missiles from Yemen.

Burnham said he will talk with Trump about ways to end the war between the U.S. and Iran.

This war starts and stops.

It has stopped oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz.

It has also raised fuel prices around the world.

Burnham said Britain wants the conflict to end quickly.

He said Britain is ready to help.

Burnham said he will try to find "common ground" with Trump.

Trump has called him a nice guy.

But Trump also said Burnham is "unfortunately" a liberal.

Burnham said the two men "found a connection" in two phone calls.

These calls happened after Burnham took office in July.

On Tuesday evening, Burnham will give a speech.

He plans to share a note of "hope" even with "dark clouds of instability."

He will talk mostly about AI.

He will say Britain can be an "honest broker" for a global agreement.

He thinks this is possible because London has good ties with the U.S., Europe and China.

He will also say Britain is moving on from the ten years since its 2016 vote to leave the European Union.
