Some foreign players at the French Open tennis tournament have complained about the bad atmosphere when they play against French players. They said it feels like a very intense football game. The crowd makes loud noises, whistles, and says mean things. Because of this, the people who organize the tournament stopped selling alcohol in the stands last year. Some players, like Nicolás Jarry from Chile, said their experiences were "disgusting" and the worst of their lives. The tournament director, Amélie Mauresmo, said they have more security now. The judges also have more power to stop bad behavior. But not all players are bothered by this. Elise Mertens from Belgium said it is a normal part of tennis. A French player, Corentin Moutet, said it is hard to play at home, but players should try to ignore the crowd.
