"Practical Magic 2" comes almost 30 years after the first film.
The first film came out in 1998.
It was not big at first.
Later, many people loved it.
Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman come back.
They play the Owens sisters.
The old house in Massachusetts is back too.
It is there for nostalgia.
The new film starts soon after the first film.
Sally is a widow again.
Sandra Bullock plays Sally.
Sally does a spell.
Her daughters forget their magic past.
The daughters grow up.
Joey King and Maisie Williams play them.
The daughters find love.
Then bad things happen.
Kylie is one daughter.
Joey King plays her.
Her boyfriend is Gideon.
Xolo Maridueña plays him.
Gideon falls into a coma.
Kylie tries to break the family curse.
Sally and Gillian go to England.
They want to keep her safe.
The review says the new film is not like the old one.
The old one was funny and wild.
The new one is really scary.
That does not fit well.
The old film had fun parts.
Those fun parts made the dark parts okay.
The new film does not have them.
But the review likes the acting.
Bullock and Kidman are funny.
Dianne Wiest, Stockard Channing and King are sad and real.
Lee Pace plays a British witch expert.
He is also Sally's love interest.
The review says Bullock and Kidman are best together.
They are real friends in life.
That helps the long film work.
