Several big films had their first showing on Tuesday at the Venice Film Festival.
One was Alex Gibney's documentary "Musk."
It is almost four hours long.
It looks at the power of the richest man in the world.
Gibney said he liked Musk at first.
He hoped Musk would talk to him.
Musk did not talk to him.
Gibney said the facts changed his idea.
He no longer sees Musk as a modern Leonardo da Vinci.
The film will be in North American theaters in October.
Another first showing was "Bunker."
It is a thriller.
Florian Zeller wrote and directed it.
Javier Bardem plays an architect.
A tech billionaire asks him to design a bunker.
Paul Dano plays the billionaire.
Bardem's wife asks him about the project.
Penélope Cruz plays the wife.
Zeller said the film looks at fear of the future and unfairness between rich and poor.
It shows this through a couple's personal problems.
He wrote it for Cruz and Bardem.
They have acted together many times.
Cruz liked the film.
She said it shows a real home with two languages.
The family speaks Spanish at home but lives in London.
She said people are ready for this.
But money people were hard to convince until recently.
Casey Affleck also showed his film "Company."
He directed it and wrote it with others.
It is about sadness and kindness.
It takes place in winter 1975.
A strange woman stops a holiday party.
Affleck said he was reacting to world fights and his own feelings.
The film is not clearly about politics.
His children are in it.
He gave the film to his parents.
They both died this year and never saw it.
"Company" is in the race for the Golden Lion.
The winners will be announced on Saturday.
