Asian markets opened lower on Friday after Israel attacked near Iran's capital. This event increased worries about Iran's nuclear program, causing oil prices to rise a lot, with both U.S. and Brent crude oil going up significantly. Major stock indexes in Asia, like Tokyo’s Nikkei 225, Seoul's Kospi, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng, the Shanghai Composite Index, and Australia’s S&P/ASX 200, all went down. Xu Tiachen from The Economist Intelligence said that even though the Israeli attack creates a big global risk, Asian markets are expected to get better quickly. This is because they are not very involved in the conflict and have stronger ties with countries not affected, such as Saudi Arabia and the UAE. On the other hand, U.S. stock indexes went up on Thursday after good news about inflation. Stocks improved as Treasury yields went down after the inflation report, suggesting that the Federal Reserve might lower interest rates later this year. However, people are still concerned about how Trump's changing tariffs might affect inflation and the chance of a recession.
