Asian markets went down on Friday after Israel attacked near Tehran, which made people more worried about Iran's nuclear plans and caused oil prices, including U.S. and Brent crude, to go up a lot. Big stock markets in Asia, like Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng, also dropped. Even with these events, Xu Tiachen from The Economist Intelligence thinks Asian markets will probably get better quickly because they are not very involved in the conflict and have good relationships with stable areas like Saudi Arabia and the UAE. On the other hand, U.S. stock markets went up on Thursday after good news about inflation, which made it seem like the Federal Reserve might lower interest rates later this year and also made Treasury yields fall. However, people are still worried about how Trump's changing tariffs might affect inflation and if there could be a recession.
