Russian President Vladimir Putin met two U.S. envoys on Saturday.
Their names are Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
The meeting was at the Kremlin.
The talks tried to restart peace efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
Both sides agreed to stop attacks on each other’s capitals during the talks.
The U.S. envoys will visit Kyiv on Sunday.
It will be their first visit in the peace process.
Ukrainian officials said this.
At the meeting, Putin asked the envoys to give his warm wishes to U.S. President Donald Trump.
He said the situation in Ukraine is “not simple.”
Putin ordered no strikes against Kyiv for three days.
The order started at midnight.
Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said this.
Zelenskyy said Ukraine was ready to stop strikes on Moscow until Monday.
He said Russia’s overnight strikes on Kyiv airports were a reaction to the planned U.S. visit.
Russian attacks killed five people at a factory area in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Local official Oleksandr Hanzha said this.
Another attack hurt a 62-year-old man in the Nikopol district.
Ukraine’s air force said Russia fired ballistic missiles and 167 attack drones overnight.
