South Korea stopped playing loud messages against North Korea at the border. This is the new government's first step to make things better between the two countries.
Last year in June, South Korea started using big speakers again. They did this because North Korea sent balloons with trash. South Korea had stopped using the speakers for many years.
South Korea's army said on Wednesday they want to make peace with North Korea. They want to build trust.
Last year, North Korea sent many balloons to South Korea. The balloons had trash like old paper. North Korea said they did this because South Korea sent balloons with papers and music.
North Korea does not like it when people from other countries say bad things about their leader, Kim Jong Un.
North Korea sent balloons. South Korea used big speakers. They played messages and music to North Korea.
North Korea wants nuclear weapons. South Korea does army exercises with the U.S. and Japan. This makes problems, like in the old Cold War.
Lee Jae-myung is the new president of South Korea. He wants to be friends with North Korea. North Korea was mad at the old president. They did not speak.
