L'ancienne princesse japonaise Mako Komuro, la nièce de l'empereur Naruhito, a eu son premier enfant. L'Agence du Palais Impérial a confirmé la nouvelle, mais elle n'a pas dit quand le bébé est né ni si c'est une fille ou un garçon. C'est parce que Mako n'est plus une princesse. Mako a épousé Kei Komuro, qui n'est pas de la famille royale, en 2021. Elle a perdu son titre royal à cause d'une loi japonaise. Le couple habite à New York, où Kei travaille comme avocat.

Bien que cet enfant soit né d'une ancienne famille royale, le palais a confirmé la nouvelle seulement après que les médias en ont parlé. La famille de Mako a exprimé sa joie et a souhaité beaucoup de bonheur aux parents.
