In Luxor's Dra Abu al-Naga necropolis, Egyptian archaeologues have exhumed three sepulchres from the New Kingdom (1550–1070 B.C.E.), replete with inscriptional testaments that illuminate the vitae of their occupants: luminaries such as Baki, an overseer of the granary, and "S," a polymath holding stewardship at the Temple of Amun whilst concurrently wielding the quill; the third tomb, albeit largely obliterated, belonged to Amum-em-Ipet, a menial labourer within Amun's dominion, yet yielded tantalising vestiges of funerary processions and commensal tableaux, prompting the Ministry to promulgate photographic documentation of the unearthed artefacts and statuary, presaging the Grand Egyptian Museum's grand aperture this summer, wherein over 100,000 relics of Egypt's opulent antiquity shall be showcased, a momentous scientific and archaeological coup, in the estimation of Minister Sherif Fathi, poised to catalyse cultural tourism.
