A political party in South Korea had a problem with their choice for president. They changed their mind quickly.

On Saturday, the party had a big problem. They tried to change their leader, but they could not. This shows the party has problems. The old president left because he used martial law. Maybe the party will not win the next election.

Kim became the party's choice on May 3.

The party wanted a new person, Han, to be the candidate. But the party members voted no on the phone.

The party said they cannot say the numbers. The party did not want to change the person for the election. The party said Kim is the person for the election again. Kim will be the candidate on Sunday.

"Now everything will go back to its place," Kim said.

Kim was an important worker helper in the 1970s and 80s.

Han was the temporary leader after Yoon. Yoon had to leave his job in December because the government decided this. A special court said he must leave in April. Han left his job on May 2 because he wants to be the country's main leader. He thinks he can be a good leader because he worked for the government for many years. He said he can help the country with problems from other countries and with trade. He said these problems are bigger because of things U.S. President Donald Trump did.

Han said he listened to the party members.

Han and Kim are not as popular as Lee in new surveys.
