The father of a 22-year-old college student says police killed his son in Pennsylvania.
The young man went to the wrong house.
Glen Pysher said his son, Glenwood Pysher IV, saw his mistake.
He was waiting for friends when officers shot him.
Police in Upper Pottsgrove Township got a 911 call about a possible break-in.
The call came around 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
The Montgomery County district attorney's office said officers found Pysher at the back of a home.
Then they shot him.
The father said his son went to bars with friends.
He took a wrong turn in the woods.
He tried to open a door, thinking it was his friend's house.
Then he sat on the back porch and called friends.
The father said his son was on a FaceTime call at 12:32 a.m.
He was shot at 12:35 a.m.
The father asked what kind of meeting could happen in that time.
Police arrived at 12:34 a.m., according to dispatch records.
The police chief said he will not release information until the investigation is done.
Pysher was about to start his final year at Saint Elizabeth University in New Jersey.
His father said he was kindhearted.
He planned to become a history teacher and coach.
The father said police have given the family almost no information.
They do not know if they can get his son's favorite shoes for burial.
