The US government has stopped making new visa appointments for students from other countries for a short time. This is because they want to check their social media accounts more carefully. This change does not affect students who already had an appointment. A message from the government says that embassies should not make more appointments for student visas until they know how to check social media better. This happens after the government took actions against international students before, like stopping some students from studying at Harvard. The government is still checking social media accounts of people who want visas. If they stop making student visas for a long time, it could cause problems for students who want to start studying soon, and universities might have less money.
