The U.S. Food and Drug Administration disclosed on Saturday an ongoing investigation by federal, state, and local authorities into a disease outbreak purportedly linked to foodstuffs processed by Fresh & Ready Foods LLC, a firm based in San Fernando, California. The FDA indicated that all ten individuals afflicted by the malady were situated in California and Nevada, necessitating their admission to healthcare facilities.

The agency disclosed that distribution of the products encompassed Arizona, California, Nevada, and Washington, transacting through a diverse array of outlets, ranging from conventional retailers and foodservice establishments such as hospitals, hotels, and convenience stores, to transportation-sector purveyors including airports and airlines.

The onset of Listeria symptomatology typically transpires within a fortnight following the ingestion of tainted comestibles.
