Chief Justice Roberts said judges can stop the government when it does too much.

Roberts is the main judge in the country. He said that judges must be free. He said this to other judges and lawyers in his town.

He said the Constitution had a new idea: three equal parts of government. He said this idea is not good if the courts are not free.

The old judge said things he said before. Many people liked his words and clapped.

Someone asked Roberts about Trump and his friends. Trump and his friends said judges should lose their jobs because of their decisions. Roberts said the same thing he said before: "You cannot make judges lose their jobs just because you don't agree with their decision."

Roberts said he will not stop working.

He came back to the city where he was born. This happened after Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson said it is wrong to attack judges.

Jackson spoke to judges and lawyers in Puerto Rico. He said judges have problems every day.

Jackson talked about the attacks. He said it was a big problem everyone knew but didn't talk about. He didn't say Trump's name.

President Trump, his helper Stephen Miller, and rich person Elon Musk are angry at judges.

Someone sent pizza to the judges' homes. It was not a nice thing to do. The pizza had the name of Daniel Anderl. Daniel Anderl was the judge's son. He died in 2020.

These deliveries are threats. They want to show the judge they know where the judge lives or where the judge's family lives.

Trump did not talk much about the main court. The court is looking at some important requests. These requests are about decisions from other courts that were not good for him.

The president's results with the judges are not always good.

But the court stopped some people from Venezuela from going home for now.

Next week, a court will talk about a rule from Trump. This rule says children born in the USA to parents who are here without papers cannot be citizens. The government wants to use this rule in many places while the court decides.
