This emergent capability, seemingly a pilot program, obviates the necessity of initiating a separate search or resorting to external platforms like Google upon encountering a location on TikTok and seeking further information.
Those TikTok aficionados privy to this newly unveiled feature will observe a novel "Reviews" tab situated on the right-hand side subsequent to accessing the video's comment section.
To illustrate, encountering a video depicting Central Park in New York City where the progenitor has duly affixed the location tag will enable the discernment of users' appraisals of the locale, manifest as star ratings, their accompanying written critiques, and any photographic documentation they may have contributed.
Furthermore, from this section, one can navigate to a reviewer's TikTok profile by clicking their username, a functionality that sets this feature apart from a prior Google Maps integration, denoted by a corresponding icon.
