Houston Texans receiver Jayden Higgins will likely miss the season.
He tore his ACL, a person with knowledge of his injury said.
The person spoke to reporters on Wednesday.
They did not give their name because the Texans have not said how bad the injury is.
Higgins fell in a bad way while running a route on Tuesday.
It happened during a practice with the Las Vegas Raiders in Houston.
Coach DeMeco Ryans said then that Higgins was being checked for a leg injury.
Higgins is in his second year.
He was expected to play with top receiver Nico Collins.
The Texans offense is led by quarterback C.J. Stroud.
Higgins was a second-round pick in the 2025 draft.
In his first year, he made 41 catches for 525 yards and six touchdowns.
