Phillies manager Don Mattingly said it was good to see the group, many of whom he played with or coached.

Before the game, Buxton played catch with his 12-year-old son, and Twins manager Derek Shelton did the same with his 78-year-old father.

Both teams are in the middle of wild-card races, and Phillies star Bryce Harper noted they still needed to win games.
