Jalen Brunson scored 30 points as the New York Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs 105-95 in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. The Knicks came back from a 14-point second-half deficit and finished the game on an 11-0 run. Karl-Anthony Towns had 18 points and 12 rebounds, and OG Anunoby had 17 points.
The Knicks have now won 12 playoff games in a row. They are the first team to beat San Antonio in Game 1 of the finals. Brunson scored 13 points in the fourth quarter and made a big shot near the end.
Victor Wembanyama scored 26 points and had 12 rebounds for the Spurs, but he said he was bad in the game. Stephon Castle scored 17 points, and Julian Champagnie and Dylan Harper each scored 16. Game 2 will be on Friday in San Antonio.
