John Fisher owns the A's team. He spoke in Las Vegas. There was dirt and big trucks behind him. This was for the new baseball stadium. He said, "We are the team for Vegas."

The baseball team had a party to start building their new park. Many people came, like the baseball boss, some old players, and kids. The park will cost a lot of money and hold many people. It should be ready in a few years.

Nevada and Clark County will give $380 million of public money for the project.

Marc Badain said, "I think it will be ready in 2028. The workers are here and ready to work."

"It's good to see today is important. The next three years will be good for our town, the building work, and jobs. You will see this building grow soon."

Badain worked for the Raiders team before. He helped them move to Las Vegas in 2020. He also helped build their big stadium.

The Raiders played in Oakland for three years. They waited for their new stadium. They shared the stadium with the A's team. The A's fans were angry because the Raiders were leaving.

That made it hard for the team to stay in Oakland. They played their last season in the old stadium last year. Now, the team is playing near Sacramento for some years. They are waiting to move to Las Vegas.

Fisher said, "We are a team from here. We want young fans. If children like us, their parents will like us too. It is not difficult. The difficult part is to win.

We want to keep making our team better. Making a team is like making anything. It can take a long time. Like building a big place. We think we have what we need to win.

Bally's has a big area. It is at Tropicana Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard. They will build a stadium there. The old Tropicana buildings were removed for the stadium.

The A's team wants to play well now in Sacramento. They also want to plan for their new home in Las Vegas. The players wear two pictures on their shirts. One picture is a bridge for Sacramento. The other picture is for Las Vegas. Las Vegas helps the team for three years.

The Las Vegas group said yes to papers for the A's team. So, the A's team can move to Las Vegas soon.

The new stadium looks like the Sydney Opera House. You can see the Las Vegas Strip from a window. The seats will have air conditioning.

This stadium is small. The Tampa Bay Rays play in Tropicana Field. It can hold 25,000 people. Sometimes the top seats are closed. Then it can hold almost 40,000 people.

The Rays play at a smaller stadium this year. Their stadium was hurt by a storm. We don't know where they will play later. Maybe new people will own the team.

Cleveland plays at Progressive Field. Now, it has about 34,800 seats. It had more seats when it opened in 1994.

The A's team will move to Las Vegas. Now Las Vegas has four big sports teams: the Raiders, Golden Knights, Aces, and the A's.

Manfred said, "Many people live here. Other sports are popular. Many tourists come here. These three things make this a very good place for us." He also said, "I am sure this team will be very good in Las Vegas."
