On Monday, John Fisher from the Athletics team spoke to a group of people in Las Vegas. Behind him were dirt, trucks, and the place for home plate at the new baseball park. He said, "We are Vegas' team."

Many people watched as the team started building their new park. The park will cost a lot of money and will have space for many fans. It should be ready in 2028.

Nevada and Clark County will give money for the project. It is 380 million dollars.

Marc Badain said, "I think it will be ready in 2028. The workers are here and ready to work."

"It's good to see this day! It will be good for our town, the building work, and jobs. You will see this building grow soon."

Badain worked for the Raiders football team before. He helped them move from Oakland to Las Vegas in 2020. He also helped build their new stadium, Allegiant Stadium. It cost a lot of money.

The Raiders waited for their new stadium. It took three years. They stayed in Oakland and played in the same stadium as the A's. Fans of the Raiders still liked the team. But A's fans were angry because the Raiders were leaving.

The team could not stay in Oakland. They played their last game there in an old stadium. Now, they play in West Sacramento for some years. They are waiting to move to Las Vegas.

We are a team from this town, Fisher said. We want young fans. If children like us, their parents will like us too. It is not difficult. But winning takes time.

We want to keep growing. Making a team is like making something new. It can take a long time. Like building a big place! We think we have what we need to win.

Bally's owns a big place at Tropicana Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard. They will build a stadium there. The stadium will be on nine acres of the place. Old buildings were taken down to make space for it.

The A's team wants to play well now. They also want to get ready for the future. The players have a picture of a bridge on one arm. They have a Las Vegas sign on the other arm. This is because of a deal with Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas group said yes to papers for the A's team. So, the A's team can move to Las Vegas soon.

The new stadium looks like the Sydney Opera House. You can see the Las Vegas Strip from a window. Cool air will come through the seats.

This stadium is small. Another stadium, Tropicana Field, can have 25,000 seats. Sometimes it can have almost 40,000 seats.

The Rays team can't play at their normal field because of a storm. They play at a different field now. We don't know where they will play later. Maybe new people will own the team soon.

Cleveland plays at Progressive Field. Now, 34,830 people can sit there. Before, more people could sit there since it was bigger when it opened in 1994.

The A's team might go to Las Vegas. Las Vegas has three other big teams: the Raiders, the Golden Knights, and the Aces.

I think many people live here. Other sports are popular. Many tourists come here. So, this is a good place for our team. I think this team will be very good in Vegas.
