Some international tennis players at the French Open have complained about the difficult atmosphere when they play against French opponents, saying it feels like a very intense football match. Because of the crowd's bad behavior, like booing and shouting insults, the organizers stopped selling alcohol in the stands last year. Some players, such as Nicolás Jarry from Chile, have called their experiences "disgusting" and the worst they've ever had. The tournament director, Amélie Mauresmo, said that security has been increased and umpires now have more power to stop unacceptable behavior. However, not all players are bothered by this. Belgian player Elise Mertens said it's a normal part of tennis, and French player Corentin Moutet advised players to ignore the pressure of playing at home.
