Dan Smyers said he was not sure at first.

He did not know if they should make this song.

The song came together easily in the studio.

Smyers said they owed it to Vaughn.

They owed it to the community too.

He said they started the song on Vaughn's 50th birthday.

He called that more than a coincidence.

The album is about their own lives.

It is more open than their old work.

Smyers said men often do not share feelings well.

He said he is like that too.

The duo made a whole album.

Then they threw it away.

They made these 10 songs instead.

The final album has more religious ideas.

One song is "Her, The Kids and Jesus."

Other songs are about grief and love.

"Dogs in Our Twenties" is about a first pet.

"The Old Guys" has Cody Johnson.

It is a love song with a surprise.

Smyers said their voices meet in the middle.

Mooney said the album has a song for everybody.

It helps people in hard times.
