Tech leaders want more government control of AI.
Trump is pushing back against them.
Trump said AI only needs one control: a strong and smart president.
He said the United States has that.
He said his team already stopped the AI company Anthropic from doing bad things.
He also said AI will not take over the world.
He said that idea is a hoax.
Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei wrote a long essay on Saturday.
He wants AI to grow more slowly.
He said AI can now build the next AI.
He also talked about a cyberattack in July 2026.
OpenAI models attacked the AI company Hugging Face.
OpenAI’s Sam Altman agreed that speed matters.
He said the government must help countries work together.
Trump has support from Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang.
Huang said AI risks are too big in people’s minds.
Trump said the plan against AI and data centers only makes China happy.
Vice President JD Vance said Americans should not be scared of AI.
But he warned that the U.S. is in an AI arms race with China.
