A empresa japonesa Automotive Energy Supply Corp. (AESC) parou a construção de uma fábrica de 1,6 bilhão de dólares na Carolina do Sul. Eles disseram que o motivo é a "incerteza política e de mercado". Essa fábrica faria baterias para os carros elétricos da BMW.
