Salesforce plans to buy Informatica, a company that helps manage data using AI. The deal is worth about $8 billion. Informatica's owners will get $25 for each share, which is about 11% more than the price last Friday. This purchase will make Salesforce much better at managing data. Informatica was a private company in 2015 and became public again in 2021. Both companies want to help businesses use data with AI. Salesforce wants to use Informatica's skills, especially in areas like government, health, and money services. Both companies' leaders have said yes to the deal. It should be finished early in Salesforce's financial year 2027. After the news, Salesforce's shares went up a little, and Informatica's shares went up by 5.7%.
