In May, people in the US felt more positive about the economy after five months of feeling less positive. The report showed that the number went up to 98 from 85.7 in April. This happened because people are less worried about the effect of President Trump's taxes. But, what people expect for their money, businesses, and jobs is still low. This might mean a recession is coming. In April, 177,000 jobs were added, which helped people feel better. However, they are still worried about taxes and rising prices. Even with these worries, more people said they plan to spend money on houses, cars, and holidays.
