The people who work at Starbucks are not happy. They don't like the new rules for what they must wear. More of them are saying they don't like it today.

Many Starbucks workers are not working. They do not like the new clothes rules. This started on Sunday. Starbucks Workers United told us this.

Starbucks has new rules for clothes. Now, workers must wear black shirts and black, blue, or brown pants. This starts on Monday in shops in the U.S. and Canada.

Before, people could wear more dark clothes. Now, Starbucks wants green aprons to show more. This will make people feel good in the shops.

But the Starbucks workers' group said they want to talk about the rules.

Paige works at Starbucks in Hanover. She says Starbucks is not good now. The workers make Starbucks good, but Starbucks does not listen to them. Starbucks cares about clothes, but customers do not care. They want coffee fast.

Some people did not like that the shop sold clothes with the shop's name. These were clothes that people who work there can't wear. The shop said it will give two free black shirts to each person who works there.

On Wednesday, some workers at Starbucks did not work. They did this at 75 shops in the U.S. Starbucks said it did not change much at its 10,000 U.S. shops. Some shops closed for less than one hour.

Starbucks said: "We want to talk. We sell coffee to people every day."

People who read the news had different ideas about the clothes at Starbucks. Some said it is okay for shops to tell workers what to wear. Others said Starbucks should make drinks better and help workers, not just worry about clothes.

Maddie works at Starbucks in Seattle. She likes the new rules.

Mucklow said, "I think the new rules for clothes were hard. But now we know what to wear. We can be ourselves, but we know what is good."

Starbucks workers in the U.S. want a union since 2021. Starbucks and the union talk, but have no deal now. They will talk again in February.

The workers said they told the Board that Starbucks did not talk about the new clothes.
