A government group found a lot of money that was not used well.

One problem: Police found the same problem before. It was bigger and happened many years ago.

A message on X said that since 2020, some people got money from the government who should not have. It said some very old people, some very young children, and some people not yet born got money.

People online had different opinions about the message. Some people did not believe it. Other people were happy about it. The person who sent the message said it was very strange. He read it many times because it was hard to believe.

He said that the numbers are very bad.

Chavez-DeRemer can see in her department's report that government workers found this problem.

They say the government is not good and not smart. They find problems the government did not find.

In 1935, a law said the government will help people who lose their jobs. But each state will do this work.

But special programs gave more money from the government to people.

Stephen Wandner says that usually, some states help people who lose their jobs well, some do not help well, and some help very badly.

In 2020, a law about money for people without jobs started. But bad people quickly tried to get this money using fake names.

The memo said states can make a fake claim for people whose identity was stolen to get money.

Some people got money they should not have. This happened because of wrong information.

The paper says the payments were not for old people. They were fake records.

A government person did not answer questions about Mr. Musk. They did not say how they found the problem or if someone else found it before.

DOGE looked for a long time. They found $382 million in fake claims. This was a small amount. Other people knew about more fake claims.

In 2022, the government said people took a lot of money for unemployment, maybe $100 billion or more.

Amy says, "This is not new information. Many people know it."

DOGE says there are problems with money for older people. They said this before, but it was not true. Now they say it again, and it sounds like the old problems.

So, DOGE is not always a good sign, even when bad things happen, like with job money.

Jessica Reidl writes for a group that thinks in a conservative way. She likes to save money and stop the government from wasting it. She wrote many articles about this. She thinks people cheat to get money when they don't have a job. But she does not trust a group called DOGE because she thinks they do not do their job well.

When DOGE says many old dead people get money from the government, I don't believe him. DOGE is often wrong.

Traub said states made new safety rules because many people lied about jobs during the sickness. She asked why Musk's team said the old lies were new.

People who run businesses and study money say the country might have money problems. So, it is normal to think about people losing jobs. Someone is saying bad things about a program that helps people without jobs. Maybe they want people to not like this help, even when it is very important.
