China sold many things to other countries. This helped China's economy grow 5% last year. The government wants it to grow about 5% this year too.

China put more tax on things from the US.

Taxes will make China's economy a little bad now, but it will be good later, a spokesperson said.

China is changing people for talks with the U.S. It's not clear why. China says it has other ways to answer the U.S. For example, they can use their big market of 1.4 billion people in China. They can also work more with Europe and countries in the south. But people in China are not buying much. So, it will be hard to replace American buyers.
