A bad website called 4chan had a problem on Tuesday.

The website did not work when I wrote this. People on social media said it did not work sometimes for many hours.

People on another website were happy about the computer problem. One person said the person who did it was in the computer for more than a year.

Pictures online show parts of a website called 4chan. These pictures show how the website works and how to stop users from posting. Only people who manage the website can see this. The pictures also show a list of people who manage 4chan. Some are called 'janitors'. Janitors can delete posts, but they cannot see user information like their internet address.

This attack could show the people who make these websites.

TechCrunch sent emails to people. Their email addresses were online.

"I think that is true," the janitor said.

I'm surprised. The team at 4chan had problems before, but this is a big problem. The worker told TechCrunch, "I don't like it. Other people don't like it either. But we work here for a long time. People like to share private information on 4chan, and we knew this could happen."

The janitor said he was worried about the information that came out. He said maybe hackers taking the website is worse than pictures. This is bad for the website to work.

The janitor said the hacker took personal information from 4chan Pass users.

4chan did not answer an email.
