Serhou Guirassy and Dortmund won against Barcelona in 2025. This was a difficult thing to do, but they did not get to the Champions League semifinals.

Even though Guirassy scored three goals, his team still lost the game. Dortmund won against Barcelona with a score of 3-1 in this game. But, the total score from two games was 5-3 for Dortmund, so Barcelona lost in the end.

Dortmund lost the first game 4-0, so they had nothing to lose. They attacked Barcelona from the start, and this surprised Barcelona.

Barcelona's coach, Hansi Flick, knew Dortmund well from Germany. He said the second game would be difficult because of their fans, even though his team was ahead by four goals.

"I thought this might happen," Flick said. "Today, I want to say good job to Dortmund, they played well, and good job to my team, they are in the semifinals."

Barcelona's attackers, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski, who usually score many goals, did not have many good chances to score in the game.

Coach Niko Kovac said Guirassy is very important for Dortmund, like "life insurance" for the team. After the game, Guirassy had scored the most goals in the Champions League. Kovac also said, "Serhou needs help from his teammates, like all players who score goals, and he got it today."

Maybe Dortmund lost the quarterfinal in the first game. Also, their captain Emre Can and midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka could not play because they were hurt earlier that day.

For a time, Guirassy made hard things seem possible.

Guirassy missed chances in the first game and at the start of Tuesday's game. But he scored a penalty because the Barcelona goalkeeper hit Pascal Gross.

Guirassy scored with his head to make it 2-0 in the 49th minute. Then, Ramy Bensebaini kicked the ball into his own goal by mistake, which made things very hard for Dortmund. This was sad for Dortmund because Bensebaini was playing well and had helped Guirassy score his second goal just before.

Guirassy scored his third goal with a strong shot after the defender made a mistake. Now he has the most goals in the Champions League this season.

This gave Dortmund hope to win the game, like Barcelona did against Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, but Barcelona won in the end.

Barcelona will play against Inter Milan or Bayern Munich in the semifinals.

Barcelona lost a game for the first time since December. They also lost a Champions League game for the first time since September. Their coach had only lost seven games out of 50. The coach had won his last seven games against Dortmund.

Dortmund might have to wait a long time to hear the Champions League song in their stadium again.

Last year, the team that was second in the Champions League is now eighth in the German league. There are five games left. They need six more points to get into the top four teams for the Champions League next year.
