Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh answered questions from the Senate on Wednesday.
People asked about inflation, AI, and his talks with President Donald Trump.
He gave only a few clear answers.
Warsh said a one-time price change from AI investment is not always inflation.
He said a supply answer could come after.
But he agreed that AI building costs have made tech products like laptops and tablets more expensive.
The Fed's last meeting showed many officials think strong AI demand will keep tech prices high.
The committee is split on whether to raise rates later this year.
Warsh said recent good inflation news is not perfect.
He said such measures are not exact.
He will use a new group to study data and why inflation stays.
Warsh said he is independent from political pressure.
He did not say if he has talked with Trump since his appointment.
He said the president chose an independent person for the job.
