Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh faced questions from the Senate on Wednesday.
The questions were about inflation, AI, and his talks with President Donald Trump.
He gave few clear answers.
Warsh said a one-time price change from AI investment is not always inflation.
He said a supply answer could come later.
But he said AI building costs have made tech things like laptops and tablets more expensive.
The Fed’s last meeting showed many officials think strong AI need will keep tech prices high.
The committee is split on whether to raise rates later this year.
Warsh said recent good inflation news is not perfect.
He said such measures are not exact.
He will use a new group to study data and why inflation stays.
Warsh said he is free from political pressure.
He did not say if he has talked with Trump since his job start.
He said the president chose an independent person for the work.
